The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley was formed in 1965 and became a non-profit society in 1971.
The Grove
The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley (affectionately known as ‘The Grove’), exists to enhance the quality of life in our community by promoting the arts. This is accomplished through:
- Arts Education and Information
- Provision & support of quality programming services and events in all facets of the arts
- Participation in the preservation, planning and development of cultural facilities and institutions
- Contributing to the development of cultural policies at the local, regional, provincial and national levels

HARBOUR QUAY FESTIVE LIGHT-UP EVENT
Kick off the holidays at Harbour Quay's Christmas Light-Up on December 1 at 5:30 pm.
Enjoy music from
ADSS Band students (5:30)
sing along with the Timbre! Choir, (6 pm), and explore the shops until 8 pm. The tree lighting ceremony starts at 6 pm.
